As shown on the graph above, Sarasota County enjoys a low unemployment rate. This is a measure of success for our region. The tight labor market makes hiring new employees difficult. Wages are growing as business competes to hire new employees.
The graph also shows the difficult time during the early stages of the Covid epidemic.
